Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT)
3D conformal treatment using intensity modulated beams for better dose distribution.

Rapid Arc (Arc IMRT)
Still further conformation for extremely accurate targeting. In this the machine takes a 360 degree rotation around the patient, and the beam is continuously changing the aperture shape and intensity to give a very precise dose fall off.

Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT)
The onboard imaging equipment takes orthogonal X rays and does a CT scan on the linear accelerator before delivering dose for extremely precise positioning of the patient during treatment.

Respiratory Motion Gating (RPM)
Using RPM Gating we can treat abdominal and thoracic cancers with still higher precision. The Linear accelerator continuously monitors patient’s respiratory cycle during the treatment and treats only when the tumor is in the planned position. For example a nodule in the periphery of Lung can move up to 2-3 cm during treatment, so without Gating we need to treat a large volume, 3 cm above and 3 cm below the tumor causing excessive reactions. With RPM Gating we can precisely treat the tumor without treating this marginal normal lung tissues. Shaleen is the first center in Gujarat to get this facility.

SABR- Stereotactic Ablative Body Radio-Surgery
Very high precision and high single dose treatments can be delivered to give surgery like outcomes in tumors any where in the body.

FFF Mode
In this mode the dose rate can be increased up to 4 times the normal dose. When delivering very high single dose to patients, the treatment times can be reduced to 1/4th, increasing the precision (by further reducing organ motion effects) and decreasing the patient’s discomfort by reducing the treatment time from an hour to 15 minutes.

MPC (Machine Performance Check)
MPC has been introduced in this version of TrueBeam. With MPC it auto-checks output parameters regularly ensuring a very high precision in each treatment.
